Who We Are
"One of the Best Places on Earth" (New York Times) The Thimble Islands is a group of archipelagos located right off the coast of Branford and Guilford, Connecticut. A short 10 minutes ride on the ferry or on your own private boat or yacht from Stony Creek.
Built in 1850, the Queen of the Thimbles is this majestic 6,500sq.ft. 11 bedroom hotel on a private island that was once known as the Thimble Island House, now Grace Island.
What We Do
If you're looking for an incredible getaway for an unforgettable time alone or with family and friends or an Amazing Wedding, Vacation, Special Event Venue for a group under 250, then look no further. This property has hosted World Leaders, members of Royal Families, Global Captains of Industries as well as numerous Weddings, Birthdays, Re-Unions, Bah Mitzvahs, Memorials, Corporate Events, Special Events and Parties of all sorts.

During the week and what would normally be down times, Grace Island is a Place of Hope & Renewal for disadvantaged kids from the Northeastern United States to come and experience God's Love, Nature and Generosity. We bring kids in on a Three Day Program that builds Love, Hope and Confidence while engaging in Teamwork, Nature Exploration, Water Sports and Personal Development to achieve Natural High in Direct Alternative and Opposition to Drugs and Alcohol as well as create a Safe and Inspiring Special Space for these kids to Dream their own Bigger Better Dreams than we have ever dreamt.
We believe any child that gets the unentitled opportunity to experience this island will never forget it and it will be a lingering positive energy to counteract the daily negativity around them through life.
Now, while they are here on a natural high the magnitude of which they've never even imagined, someone teach them a valuable life lesson, That's one lesson they will never forget.
Kids need not believe in Christ or even God or anything for that matter to participate but they will need to know that it is in the name of Christ that we do what we do.
If all we ever do with this island is influence 100 kids that goes on to do some amazing things or stop one kid from becoming Adam Lanza, then it is worth every penny we paid for it.
